COUNTRYSIDE STEWARDSHIP
Countryside Stewardship – Mid Tier
CS Mid Tier Scheme is now closed. Actions that were previously found under the Mid Tier agreements have been merged into the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) which is currently undergoing review and, therefore, applications currently unavailable.
Countryside Stewardship – Higher Tier
Countryside Stewardship has provided funding for farmers and land managers over the last several years enabling management of land to protect, restore or enhance the environment, whilst also aiming to alleviate the effects of climate change. Currently applications for Countryside Stewardship are closed, with no indication of when they may re-open.
The Government have announced that an improved CS Higher Tier Scheme will become available in Summer 2025.
