Environmental Land Management Scheme

The 2020 Agriculture Bill was introduced on 16 January and funding via the Environmental Land Management Scheme is an integral part of the proposed changes which will see the phasing out of the BPS (Pasic Payment Scheme) and the introduction of the 3 tiered ELM scheme.

ELMS grants payments to farmers and land owners who deliver environmental projects promoting clean air, reductions in environmental hazards and pollution, thriving plants and wildlife, clean water, enhanced landscapes and measures to minimise the effects of climate change.

As the transition period begins in 2021 between BPS (Basic Payments Scheme) and the ELMS (Environmental Land Management Scheme), DDM Agriculture is well placed to be able to advise you on how to maximise receipts for your rural business.
