Andrew Houlden

About

Andrew grew up on a small mixed rented farm in mid Lincolnshire and consequently has a solid farming background.  Andrew previously worked at York Livestock Centre, where he gained a lot of auction experience.  He now undertakes a broad range of professional work, specialising in valuation work and in dealing with Basic Payment Scheme matters, also organising any farm dispersal sales.  Andrew also manages a number of contract farming arrangements, manages a number of rural properties and deals with compensation claims.  He also deals with the sale and letting of land and farms.

Outside of work Andrew enjoys orienteering as often as possible and is the treasurer for The Festival of the Plough.  He has two children, one at the local secondary school, the other at college.
